This satellite will be carried on earth-observing spacecraft (GSLV) built and operated by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and will be placed in the geostationary orbit of 36,000 km. It will be fixed at a particular spot to look over the Indian subcontinent all the time. The high-resolution cameras which are all managed by an onboard system help to keep an eye on the borders and to observe the geographical changes as well. All in all the satellite weighs about 2100 kg (4630 pounds) wet and around 1000 kg (2200 pounds) without propellant.
